Rogallo hang glider patents
See also KitePatents group    and also KitePatents folder.

Recall that claim text descriptions are dominant to always insufficient drawings.  Notice that a hang glider is a a kite with a moving falling mooring (the payload or pilot mass) and a kite line set from the payload or pilot to the kite lifting elements); hence many kite patents provide the fundament functional arts of hang gliders. Note too that "paraglider" was used for stiffened-framed kite-gliders; the term "paraglider" is still used today for the types of hang gliders that are primarily string-controlled and with little stiffening bodies; various groups hone their own definitions to fit their own constrained purposes.
